MISSION:
The mission of the “TOURISM BUSINESS MANAGEMENT” Master’s program is to create an appropriate framework for training highly qualified specialists in the tourism business, and grounding macroeconomic policies in domestic and international tourism. For this purpose, the Master’s program contributes to the profound study of the specialized konwledge acquired during the bachelor’s cycle (with a main focus on the practical component of their training) and to the development of the scientific research capacity, by using instruments and methods specific to the tourism business, respectively the ones used in the tourism statistics, accounting and internal audit of a tourism company.
Through the assumed mission, the Master’s Program fits in with the U.C.D.C.’s (“Dimitrie Cantemir”Christian University) general coordinates to create, capitalize and dispense knowledge, by developing a research and educational environment based on excellence, where the involvement, progress and promotion of scientific and educational values prevail.
Through its syllabus, the “BUSINESS MANAGEMENT IN TOURISM” Master’s program also provides its students a set of skills that are in accordance with the National Qualification Framework , therefore they will be able to aim for positions such as: manager in the tourism activity, agency administrator, manager of a tour operator travel agency, retail agency, branch, subsidiary, tourism analyst, travel agent, internal travel guide (local), national guide, mountain guide, entertainer for holiday centers, scientific researcher within the National Institute for Research and Development in Tourism, teaching staff within the pre-academic and academic education in the field, in Tourism, Hotel & Restaurant Consulting Group, as well as within other institutions in the field.
